For #7, we spoke with ERIKO ISHIDA, designer of MALION vintage and ERiKOKATORi. Through her unique perspective, she reinterprets vintage and deadstock materials into contemporary pieces with a distinctive character. Drawn to old objects and traditional craftsmanship, she creates clothing designed to be cherished beyond trends and generations. ERIKO has been supporting and wearing eit swim since our early days, and we’re grateful to have her as part of our community.

– Why do you love wearing eit swim?
eit swim is created by two kind people who truly love the ocean. In a world overflowing with things, I’m naturally drawn to pieces that carry someone’s thoughts, care, and warmth.
I can feel the attention to detail in every design—from the bold open-back cuts to the flattering hip lines. I also love that the pieces transition effortlessly from the beach to everyday life.

– How do you style eit swim?
Rather than thinking of it only as swimwear, I see it as a versatile base layer that works with many different outfits.
I often wear it under lightweight shirts or jackets. The delicate straps and built-in cup styles beautifully complement the body’s natural shape and help create a flattering silhouette.

– How would you describe eit swim as a brand?
eit swim is created by two people who not only love the ocean, but also have a positive, sun-filled energy. It’s a brand that has the power to brighten the mood of the person wearing it.

– Where do you see the connection between eit swim and your own work?
I relate to the way they stay true to what they love and express it naturally and authentically. I’m also drawn to how they offer not just swimwear, but an entire lifestyle and atmosphere through the brand.
