Do What You Can, When You Can
I spent some time at a quiet beach doing a little cleanup.
Plastic bottles, cans, fishing nets, plastic bags… even after picking up handfuls of trash, more always seemed to appear. Most of it had probably drifted here from somewhere else in Japan.
It’s not just an eyesore—thinking about sea creatures accidentally eating it or getting tangled up makes my skin crawl.
I couldn’t possibly clean it all, but today I managed to fill five small trash bags. Big changes don’t happen overnight, but every small step counts.
