#4 pro surfer KEIKO KODAKA
“Around eit swim: People We Love” is our ongoing series featuring women who wear eit swim in their everyday lives—those who support and inspire us.
For #4, we spoke with professional surfer Keiko Kodaka.
She discovered surfing at 30, went on to compete in longboard pro tours for over a decade, and in recent years has stepped away from competition to enjoy a more intuitive connection with nature—surfing simply to feel the waves, and exploring the backcountry on her snowboard.
Traveling in her camper, chasing good waves, fresh snow, and good food, Keiko chooses eit swim for her time in the ocean.

- What’s your favorite eit swim piece, and why?
Item: Reversible Super High Bottom
Reason: It offers great coverage while keeping the silhouette clean and flattering. It pairs easily with any top, so I often build my outfits around this bottom.
- What do you value when choosing swimwear?
That it stays in place in the ocean. That it enhances the natural lines of the body. That it doesn’t feel tight or uncomfortable, even outside the water.
And that it allows me to express who I am.
- What changed after you started wearing eit swim for surfing?
I no longer feel like I’m “wearing swimwear” in a fixed or restrictive way. Now I choose it the same way I choose my everyday clothes.
- What’s something someone said that made you happy while wearing eit swim?
When I mixed older pieces with new ones, someone told me they wanted to use it as inspiration. That made me really happy.
- Any eit swim pieces you’d recommend to others?
If I could only bring one swimsuit on a trip, it would be the 【Rhombus One-Piece】.
It has a perfect balance of stability and beauty—you don’t have to worry about adjusting it while surfing, and it naturally enhances the body. The fabric feels great, and it’s so comfortable you can wear it all day like a bodysuit.
The 【High Neck Short Swim Tank】 is another essential. I always bring a few when I travel—it works both as an inner layer and as a top. I also wear it often as yoga wear or as a base layer while snowboarding.
